Lets pretend that we are at a debate and instead of the Presidential candidates telling what they will do the people get to tell the candidates what they are looking for in a candidate and what they want from the candidates.

A young man gets up and says, Sirs and Ma’am I have listened to the last few debates and I not liking what i see from candidates. All of you save one are clawing, biting and scratching at each other like wounded dogs backed in a corner. all of you more worried about your candidacy more than then your fellowman. when instead you should all be united in what you do believe in.

1. this country is serious financial trouble.
2. the tax code needs changing so congress cant us it to buy elections and help or hurt private companies
3. we need a president who wants to cut back the power of the president so we don’t have to deal with executive orders that defy the people

In time of despair and fear where unity is most needed you remind me of the french in pre-World War II who fought so much amongst themselves they where defenseless.
Personally I think your policies can go hang. I’m not interested in Policies or Agendas. Policies change for the very reason that so many hands touch it. its like a movie script sent to a producer who likes the scrip but wants changes then the director wants changes, and finally the actors want changes. at the end if the script still resembles the original copy its a major miracle. You don’t write the law you just sign it in. You people need to stick together and show us as a man or as a women why you have the integrity to make good decisions.

What I want to know is do you love your fellowman more than your job. Does your Faith help give you the integrity to make decision on truth instead of wishful thinking. last but not least do you have a healthy fear of your Creator knowing everything you do in this office you will be held accountable by Him.

Just remember the poem about the Ambulance in the Valley
and that pity never cured man from self destruction it just enables him to continue on this path a little longer to further destruction. love is just it does not steal from Peter to pay Paul.

Thomas Jefferson said “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. “

I know all of us would like to give any candidate a peace of our minds; our two cents worth as it were, the kind of money we don’t mind giving.

they think because they can read words and understand them that they now have the power to create words of law that will make the world a utopia. Mark Twain once said, “don’t let your schooling get in the way of an education.” The Liberals refuse to look at history and admit defeat. to admit defeat is to realize that man cannot reach perfection. Therefor they have to admit that man is responsible to some higher being for his or her actions. if we can perfect man no need for a higher being God does not exist if God does not exist i can do what is right in my own eyes. this is why their irrational thinking will never change unless they have a change of heart. their Governing Value is justification of self.

thank you very much for your time

Dear Friend

I’m not sure how to say this… well let me start out by saying that I”m am not offended, this is not a censure. it is a caution… Remember a caution… I’m going to try to be light as possible because its just a thought not a problem. what I’m about to say is something everyone has to keep an eye on because it can turn into a problem.
OK. when people meet their total strangers. then they become friends as friends there again strangers. Why? Because before they only new each other as total strangers now their learning about each other again as friends. this cycle continues from friend < good friend < close friend < best friend. for couples it extends to boyfriend girlfriend, fiance fiancee and husband wife.(close friend might parallel boyfriend and girlfriend and best friend will parallel husband and wife)
with each level of friendship you extend more information at each level. at each extension besides information, trust and emotion are tied on to that information, sort of a package deal. (or hitch hiker as it where)
The caution is knowing the friendship your at and knowing the friendship line you don't want to cross. the reason for this caution is information is like a snowball it starts small and grows bigger and if you don't keep an eye on the two hitch hikers that go along it can turn into something very hard to stop.
there was nothing wrong in telling me what you did just as long as you know the identity of the two hitch hikers or packages:(identity) one knowing that their there and what they are; two the form of friendship your sending them in. these hitch hikers will decide what context the words will be read in. In letters it can be a little hard to figure out the context.
I understand that the context is good friend. when people find out where they are as friends where their going as friends and as friend realize where of the progression should end this is called defining a friendship or relationship.

the reason for chaperons in the 1800's what not only to see things stayed proper but to make sure things didn't progress to fast information wise.

I hope this was edifying not terrifying. please if you would share it with your family.

What is your Governing Value?

I was listening to a Dr. Jim Binney, a pastor and counselor, and he told a story about time management counselor who was speaking. This speaker had a lady who had a baby on the stage and he asked her, “I have this iron beam and if I put it in front of your house would you walk from one side to the other for a hundred bucks?” she said “yes.” This is before 9/11. he asked “If I took this beam and attach an end one Twin Tower and the other end to the second Twin Tower, those two buildings each have a sway factor of 40 feet that high, would you walk it for a hundred dollars?” she said “No.” He asked, “for a thousand?” answer, “No” “a Million Dollars…? she said “absolutely no!” The speaker said, “Ok, what if I had your baby and i was on the top of the other tower. If had your baby by the heels and I said if you don’t walk across I’ll drop the baby. would you walk it? the lady started to cry.”
Why? He just found her Governing Value, every decision she made ended up coming back to her baby and the baby’s safety. (this is natural for a mother). He had taken her governing value and put it out of her control. This is an example that each one of us has a Governing Factor. the goal that all of are decisions work towards . The question we have to ask ourselves is our Governing factor. the number one governing factor other than God that I have found is Happiness by means of Marriage, Friends, Tv, Video Games, Work, School etc… and all my and your decisions have been or will be for God or our happiness.
The Lord our God will have no other Gods before Him. He who keepeth his life shall lose it. He(God) will tear down all idols sooner or later. What we what more than God we will never get and be happy because only God can give abundant joy.
Some how we all think that there is a specific time where we find happiness that will stay with us till the end of time. Not realizing with the wrong Governing Value we’re like Dan the donkey, in a song called Cool Water, looking for water in a desert of sand and never finding it. God our Savior has Living Water that we may never thirst no more. So the real question is our we willing to give up our “happiness” we think we need to God and humbly accept His plan of abundant Joy

I have found that the hardest person to forgive is not the person who wronged me but forgiving myself. there is a belief when a man or a women hurts someone, mentally, spiritually, emotionally or physically they hurt themselves worse. have ever heard in movies a soldier say, “every time i kill someone a little of me dies to.”
The reason there is so little love and respect in the world today is that people hate and disrespect themselves so much. when I hated myself and held myself in contempt this is what I showed others and others showed me. And the longer this goes on the more I will despise myself and others. its called a vicious circle.
The end of this cycle is accepting God’s forgiveness, in our pride we say, “God that sin is to big to be forgiven i can’t accept it I must punish my self to atone” If this theology is wrong concerning salvation isn’t it still wrong after salvation.

I was watching a movie the other day and I saw a scene where a couple were at a picnic. The girl’s “date”, a practical stranger, get up and goes for some more refreshments, food and coffee. A few moments or minutes after the “date” leave an inebriated fellow, a drunken picnicker, comes up and starts trying to kiss her. Her date returns sets down the the refreshments and promptly knocks out the fresh inebriated fellow. the Lady looks at her Hero, now a wonderful stranger, and asks, “wasn’t that man a friend of yours?” The hero replies, “Yes.” the Lady asks, “why did you knock him out?” the hero answers, ” Cas I got mad.” and she asks, “Why” and the hero say’s “Cas I got mad thats all.” getting a little uncomfortable with this line of questioning the hero says, “Well haven’t you had two guys fight over you before?” and she replies, “Over me yes, but never for me.” (in other word, “this is the first time a man has done this for me”)
Two things happen here. number one is that he gave her what she needed: protection and a hero. two she gave him what he needed: acknowledgment and acceptance of his deed.

The problem with society today is that the “men” are not Man enough to fulfill their responsibilities towards the women and the “women” are not Women enough to accept the deeds of responsibility done toward them.

KATHARINA

Fie, fie! unknit that threatening unkind brow,
And dart not scornful glances from those eyes,
To wound thy lord, thy king, thy governor:
It blots thy beauty as frosts do bite the meads,
Confounds thy fame as whirlwinds shake fair buds,
And in no sense is meet or amiable.
A woman moved is like a fountain troubled,
Muddy, ill-seeming, thick, bereft of beauty;
And while it is so, none so dry or thirsty
Will deign to sip or touch one drop of it.
Thy husband is thy lord, thy life, thy keeper,
Thy head, thy sovereign; one that cares for thee,
And for thy maintenance commits his body
To painful labour both by sea and land,
To watch the night in storms, the day in cold,
Whilst thou liest warm at home, secure and safe;
And craves no other tribute at thy hands
But love, fair looks and true obedience;
Too little payment for so great a debt.
Such duty as the subject owes the prince
Even such a woman oweth to her husband;
And when she is froward, peevish, sullen, sour,
And not obedient to his honest will,
What is she but a foul contending rebel
And graceless traitor to her loving lord?
I am ashamed that women are so simple
To offer war where they should kneel for peace;
Or seek for rule, supremacy and sway,
When they are bound to serve, love and obey.
Why are our bodies soft and weak and smooth,
Unapt to toil and trouble in the world,
But that our soft conditions and our hearts
Should well agree with our external parts?
Come, come, you froward and unable worms!
My mind hath been as big as one of yours,
My heart as great, my reason haply more,
To bandy word for word and frown for frown;
But now I see our lances are but straws,
Our strength as weak, our weakness past compare,
That seeming to be most which we indeed least are.
Then vail your stomachs, for it is no boot,
And place your hands below your husband’s foot:
In token of which duty, if he please,
My hand is ready; may it do him ease.

vail your stomach (“to lower ones pride.”)
no boot (“no advantage, no use, in delay or refusal”)

Some people would say that Shakespeare wrote with “tongue in cheek” when he wrote this but I’m not so sure. If you read carefully Shakespeare wrote down the duties of both sexs not just the women who where being addressed.

As my horse trotted wearily up the road, I could see the walls of a beautiful garden ahead. Outside the gate was an equally beautiful woman. At the sound of my greeting, she turned and dropped a curtsey. “Good sir…good morning.”

I looked at her, and then at the garden walls extending out to the right and left. Behind her was the Garden gate.

I said, “I am very thirsty … for something clean.”

She smiled, and her smile made me thirstier still. But she said nothing.

“Is there water here?” is asked.

“There is a stream within my garden.” Her statement was simply a statement of fact; there was no invitation at all in it.

I asked, “May I come in and drink?”

“No.” she said. “The lord of my mother’s garden does not permit that.”

“Why is this? Other women have let me drink from the gardens that they tend.” I glanced at the fruit-laden branches which were visible over the top of the garden wall. “You have a lovely Garden but those who let me drink had gardens just as beautiful.

She laughed at this, and hers laugh was merry indeed.

“I have no doubt that you have been in some lovely gardens. But was the water clean?”

“No” I said, and in spite of myself, turned my head and looked down. She continued with a question. “Is that why you are no longer in the gardens tended by these women?”

I was ashamed so I did not answer her. Instead I looked past her into the garden. The path through the gate disappeared after a few feet, leaving the view of anyone on the road.

“It seems like a shame for such a garden to go to waste.”

She seemed both puzzled and amused. “How does it go to waste?”

“Does any man drink form your stream?”

“No, but no man fouls it either.”

“But is that not a waste? Was not your stream made to quench the thirst of travelers?”

“I’m afraid you are seriously mistaken. It was made to quench the thirst, not of travelers, but of the lord of the garden.”

“Oh,” I said, “This garden has a lord?”

            “No,” she said

“Then I don’t understand. Are you speaking in riddles?”

She smiled, “no, I do not. The garden will one day have a lord, although it does not yet. The stream is for him alone.”

“And who will you lord be?

“When my mother’s lord gives a blessing, the one whom I appoint.”

“How can the lesser appoint the greater?”

“How can it not be so? When my lord comes, I will grant to him my garden. But until I do, he is just another traveler.”

“And what do you look for? I am sure there are many who knock at your gate.’

At this she blushed slightly but looked straight at me. “I will not have a lord who does not have a lord himself—my lord must have taken an oath of fealty to the Landlord.”

            “The Landlord? Who is he?”

“He is the owner of all the gardens along this road. In order to come in to my garden, my lord must take an oath before the Landlord to tend the garden well. He must also swear that he will enter no other garden.”

I had never heard such words as these before. How long must he stay out of other gardens?”

            “Forever.”

“But what if he is born to travel?”

“Then he is not born for my garden.”

“I see,” I said, becoming a little angry. “Then why have I never heard of such an oath? I have been in many gardens.”

“Yes, you said that before. But was the water clean? Where the gardens tended? That is what happens when there is no oath.”

“So that is all? If someone takes an oath before this Landlord, you will make them your lord?

            “No.”

            “Well what else then?”

“There are many men who think they can tend my garden as well, and who would be willing to swear an oath before the Landlord saying so, But that does not mean that my mother’s lord, or I, Share their confidence.”

            What do you mean?”

“I mean that I know the extent of the garden. I have a knowledge of it that cannot be gained from the road. But no man can share that knowledge until after I have made him my lord and husband. So I must have the measure of the man before.”

“So what must a man do? I seems like much work.”

She smiled once again. “There is much work. There is also much fruit.”

“So what must a man do?

            “The first thin is to—”

“Yes, I know. He must swear to the Landlord. But after?

“He must return to me, and ask to see my mother’s Lord.”

            “And what would he say?”

“That Depends on the man.” At this parting comment, she turned and walked slowly back into the garden, pulling the gate closed behind her. I spurred my horse, which began to trot down the road, I did not know what to think, but I needed to find this Landlord.
